Morse
Reservoir Cleanup Day – September 30, 2006
Morse Waterways Association celebrates another successful event with the 2nd Annual Cleanup Day. With the help of thirty volunteers from the association and Morse community, tons of logs and debris from the reservoir were collected on Saturday morning September 30th using pontoon boats, ropes and chainsaws to cut the very large tree logs. Lower than normal temperatures and threat of rain did not scare off this hard working crew.
We would like to thank the following business and communities for their support in this year’s event. We could not have accomplished so much without their efforts.
Robert Weihe, Weihe Construction for donating the backhoe and operator Jim Jones.
Bud Willitzer, LakeMaster Inc. for donating their dock barge and operators Justin and Jason.
Scott Dufrey, Marina Limited Partnership, for coordinating use of the Noblesville marina launch ramp activity.
Charlie Cambre and Pat Comer from
The City of Noblesville and Hamilton County Streets Department for removing debris from Morse Marina parking lot.
Thanks to Kim Wert for early morning coffee and feeding us a picnic lunch of hot dogs, baked beans and snacks.
